AASM COMPLIANT SOFTWARE UPDATE HELPS CUT COSTS BY STREAMLINING SLEEP DIAGNOSTIC WORKFLOW
CLEVELAND, OHIO, AUGUST 6, 2008 - Cleveland Medical Devices Inc. (CleveMed) announced a major release of its sleep diagnostic software, Crystal PSG. The latest feature set includes a number of time and cost saving features that will enable doctors to diagnose patients faster. Most notably, this release includes a high-quality real-time and offline automated respiratory scoring system that dramatically improves study turnaround time.
This release also includes necessary features to comply with new requirements from the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) and recommendations from our valued customers.

Crystal PSG software is used with all three of CleveMed's sleep diagnostic systems.

About Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA)
The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute estimates that sleep apnea is prevalent in as many as 18 million Americans alone. Two to four percent of all Americans have an undiagnosed case of sleep apnea. OSA occurs in approximately 2 percent of women and 4 percent of men over the age of 35.
