Manufacturing Engineer

Cleveland Medical Devices is an ISO9000 manufacturer of wireless medical devices used in Sleep Diagnostic industry.

    Primary Function

    The Manufacturing Engineer will be expected to actively participate in all facets of the manufacturing process in accordance with CleveMed Quality System, with the primary objective of ensuring the repeatable manufacture of high quality products and on time delivery. This position will require superb communication skills, as correspondence with other departments (Engineering, Quality, Accounting, Sales and Marketing) will be a part of daily work. Establishing and maintaining professional relationships with suppliers will also be highly beneficial. Candidate must be a motivated self-starter, be well organized, detail focused, and have a desire for professional growth.

    Minimum Requirements

  • Associates degree in engineering discipline (or equivalent work experience) with a working background in electronics/electronic technology and a strong mechanical aptitude - experience in a medical and/or electronic manufacturing environment helpful.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of printed circuit board design, fabrication, and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to rework/solder surface mount and through hole devices.
  • Strong Technical writing skills, with the ability to generate procedures and work instructions.
  • Comfortable working within a Windows environment with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Basic understanding of core desktop computer components and peripherals.
  • Competent in the use of electronic test equipment.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and multitask effectively.
  • Minimum experience 2-4 years.

    Duties to include:

  • Perform level 2 inspections of incoming assemblies and machined parts.
  • Support effort to maintain, track and reconcile inventory levels and standard costs.
  • Perform all facets of product test and assembly.
  • Develop Bills of Material, assembly instructions, test procedures and other documents used in the manufacture of products.
  • Maintain device history records for all delivered products.
  • Package, label, document, and ship customer orders and repairs.
  • In the spirit of constant improvement, investigate/propose the use of new materials, processes, sources, and suppliers.
