C#/C++ Software Engineer

Medical device firm seeks an experienced Windows C#/C++ software engineer to work on wireless medical data acquisition system applications. The candidate must be a goal-oriented and highly-motivated self-starter ready to join a fast paced and dynamic software team. The candidate must have a demonstrated professional history of bringing new products to market. He or she must be proficient as a troubleshooter and problem solver, with strong design, analytical, and communication skills.

Education

  • A minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related discipline or equivalent work experience. A graduate degree is a definite plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test and document robust and user-friendly user interfaces for online/offline review and analysis of physiological data according to the standards for medical equipment
  • Ensure compliance with the Quality System regulation with regard to software validation
  • Support overall system integration

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years industry experience with
    • Object oriented design
    • Any of the following languages (C++/C#)
    • Exceptional GUI design and development for PC and Handheld platforms
  • Windows-based software development including:
    • Multi-threaded application development
    • Custom-control development
    • Interfacing with data collection systems (DAQ, RS232, etc.)
  • Any of the following development systems:
    • Visual Studio .NET
    • Borland C++ Builder or MS Visual C++ using MFC
  • Any of the following technologies:
    • .NET Framework
    • Component Object Model (COM)
    • Visual Component Library (VCL)
  • Embedded system development using any of the following technologies:
    • Windows CE
    • PalmOS
    • VxWorks
    • QNX
  • Experience with the following tools:
    • MATLAB

Highly Desired:

  • Understanding of the software quality and development life cycle
  • Experience in the healthcare/medical technology field
  • Experience in the Medical Device or other regulated industry

Desired:

  • Experience in real-time data acquisition systems including developing drivers and embedded software for communication peripherals. Understanding electronic schematics is a plus.
  • DSP and Micro-Controllers experience.

Director of Engineering


Responsibilities:

  • Manage product development in a medical device company. Duties include supervising hardware, firmware and software engineering progress, scheduling resources, documentation, design assurance, testing to medical standards, and transfer to manufacturing. Assist in hardware development including creating new schematic designs. The candidate must be goal-oriented, strong-team player, be able to function with limited supervision and perform activities in accordance with, and in support of, company design controls.

Minimum Requirements:

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • A minimum of seven (7) years experience in project management
  • Knowledge in medical device standards and compliance testing (IEC601)

Desired Skills:

  • M.S., engineering
  • Medical device industry experience especially in small company environment.
  • Strong experience in wireless technologies.

Sales Engineer

In order to sustain our aggressive growth, CleveMed has an immediate job opening for a sales engineer. The candidate will be responsible for selling telemetry based physiological monitoring equipment to the education and research markets, specifically universities and research facilities.  Responsibilities will include managing the sales of research and educational products, cold calling, personal sales calls and product demonstrations, expanding existing customer base, finding new appropriate markets and weekly progress reports.  Some travel will be necessary.  CleveMed is hard working but informal and offers strong salary and benefits, tuition reimbursement and outstanding growth opportunity with future stock potential.  If you desire to pursue a sales leadership opportunity, then this is the position for you.

Senior Biomedical Researcher

Due to our continued growth in R&D, we need a senior Biomedical Researcher to initiate and lead new, biomedical research, especially in sleep disorders. Responsibilities include grant writing, project management, developing new algorithms and signal processing techniques and assisting in the clinical validation of such techniques.

Required Skills:

  • M.S. in biomedical engineering with at least 2 years experience
  • Experience in physiological signals processing and analysis
  • Experience in using data acquisition hardware and software
  • Proficiency in technical writing and grant writing

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in software development in C or C++
  • Experience in using analysis software packages such as LabVIEW and MATLAB
  • Experience in conducting clinical trials preferably in neurology or rehabilitation engineering
  • Experience in the FDA approval process

Sleep Applications Specialist

Job Function:

  • The responsibilities of the Sleep Disorders Applications Specialist include customer support of CleveMed's sleep diagnostic and therapeutic products nationally and internationally. The position will also be responsible for technology validation and clinical trials coordination. Frequent travel is needed. Work hours (1st shift)

Duties:

  • 24/7 customer support by email, phone or Webex
  • Demonstrate and install products at commercial sites and research institutions and train their staff
  • Assist in preparing reasearch protocols
  • Assist with data scoring and analysis for research and validation studies
  • Develop training and user's manuals

Minimum Requirements:

  • Associate degree in science or medical technology
  • RPSGT with at least 2 years experience as polysomnography technologist
  • Demonstrated knowledge in various sleep diagnostic and therapeutic devices
  • Demonstrated knowledge in computer networking and IT

Desired Skills:

  • Technical writing
